Dedicated educators and high-quality programs
Educators strive to create a calm, comfortable environment where each child feels safe. The highly trained team of long standing educators are hand-picked to support the children and their learning. The centre is well resourced and each area is specifically designed with young learners in mind. You will receive daily updates and photos detailing children’s learning and development on our parent App – Xplor.
The children enjoy a rich and varied educational program incorporating a sustainability program, music, physical education, STEM and cooking. We offer a wide variety of learning tools for the children that include programmed experiences, excursions and incursions. Our centre is the perfect childcare centre for your children to learn and grow and to ensure your child is supported for their transition to school every step of the way.
Your children will be encouraged to learn through programs based around the Early Years Learning Framework by our team of experienced and qualified early childhood educators including a specialised Kindergarten/Preschool program which covers a range of subjects with an aim to prepare our children for their school years and beyond. We focus on play-based learning, and offer a Government Approved Kindergarten Program.

I began my career in early childhood education in 1997, and I started at Kindy Patch Manly in 2021. I hold a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and am about to complete my Bachelor of Psychology majoring in Educational Psychology. I began my career as an unqualified assistant and worked in all service positions before moving into a management position.
I have always had a passion for working with children. Having a large family of my own with a lot of personal experience to share, I love being able to support families and children in various ways.
I have learnt that children are more capable and adaptable than many people realise. A child that may be struggling can blossom with new skills almost overnight. Children can demonstrate great perseverance with tasks and succeed beyond even their own expectations. Knowing this has guided my approach to teaching—by supporting every child in developing their agency and autonomy in making decisions and performing tasks. Every success develops a child’s confidence, self-esteem and independence and instils mastery-related behaviours.
Children are lifelong learners who are a product of numerous environments. Our responsibility is to instill a love of learning in our environment through play that supports security and confidence to approach new or challenging tasks with joy, curiosity and enthusiasm.
It is well known that research shows the benefits of quality preschool programs. By engaging in these programs, children are more likely to develop school readiness skills and the social, cognitive and emotional skills they need to help them succeed in learning.
The Kindy Patch team are dedicated and long-serving team members who have demonstrated an ongoing commitment to the service, families and children. The team provide consistently high-quality care and education by engaging in ongoing professional development opportunities. This ensures their practices and skills are informed by research-based best practices and up to date knowledge.
Our families are welcomed from their first visit to the service by meeting the entire team and encouraged to ask questions and engage in the program. In addition, we support ongoing communication and feedback through our online platform Xplor and actively seek parent feedback and input to guide our service.

“We love Kindy Patch, our son has been going there for 3 years, it will be sad to say goodbye at the end of this year when he starts school. The centre is very well run and operated and they have wonderful committed staff who have been consistent throughout our time there. The centre is small and welcoming and has a family feel as everyone there knows your name when you come in. They provide all meals and nappies within the daily cost. Highly recommend.” – Nadia Feeney
